I am a resident of Nellurpuram and would like to bring to your attention the highly irregular garbage collection service in our area. The garbage collection vehicle comes only 2 or 3 times a week, and even when it does, it neither stops at regular collection points nor alerts the residents. It only picks up garbage from one unofficial collection point and often informs that it will return later, but it never does.
As a result, people have started dumping garbage at various vacant plots and even in the compound of HAL Salvage. Despite several residents making efforts to maintain cleanliness and prevent such dumping, the lack of proper garbage collection is making these efforts ineffective. This situation has led to the formation of multiple unattended garbage points, further worsened by stray dogs scattering the waste across roads.
This is not only a public nuisance but also a serious health hazard. We request BBMP to kindly look into this matter and take immediate steps to ensure:
Daily garbage collection in the area.
Proper communication and alerting system by the collection staff.
Avoiding the creation of unauthorized garbage points.
Monitoring and strict action against dumping in vacant plots.
Your prompt action will help in restoring cleanliness and preventing potential health issues in our locality.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation. |
