Project Name BBMP - GPMS Complaint Raised Date 17-01-2026
Subject Request for inspection and necessary action regarding weakened tree with Red Ant infestation posing safety risk to children and surroundings.
Complaint / Requirement

I am writing to bring to your kind attention a safety concern regarding a tree located in front of my residence at the above-mentioned address, which falls under BBMP jurisdiction.

The tree has significantly weakened over time and is currently heavily infested with Red Ants. The infestation is widespread — beneath the tree, on the trunk, branches, and leaves. These red ants are aggressive in nature and pose a serious risk of biting, especially to children, as kids frequently play in and around this area.

Given the weakened condition of the tree combined with the severe red ant infestation, there is a potential safety hazard to residents, particularly children. Despite our preference to retain trees wherever possible, the present condition raises genuine concerns for personal safety.

I kindly request BBMP to:

• Conduct an on-site inspection of the tree, and

• Take appropriate action as deemed necessary, such as treatment for ant infestation, pruning, or removal, based on your technical assessment and safety considerations.

I am enclosing / uploading photographs of the tree and the ant infestation for your reference. I shall be grateful for your prompt support and guidance in resolving this issue at the earliest
