It appears that 2025 has been a year of significant accomplishments for the Federation of Aboriginal Nations of the Americas (FANA) and the State of African Diaspora (SOAD). FANA and SOAD achieved another historic event with the signing of the first-ever Banking Treaty

Finalized in July, the Treaty establishes an international financial institution that links FANA's Indigenous Tribal Members across the eastern United States with SOAD, a diaspora Government within the Sixth Region of the African Union.

This institution will provide FANA Tribal members, SOAD citizens, and their allies with access to financial services, empowering economic growth, development, and collaboration across their collective communities.

The Minister of International Affairs, Principal Chief Ronald Yonaguska Holloway, states,

"This will secure the movement of funds from all commerce undertaken between the two. It's part of planning for the next seven generations to ensure that the future is bright for our citizens and allies."

It took years to formulate a plan for establishing an Indigenous Bank that provides services to its Indigenous communities. The establishment of the Bank finally came to fruition over the past summer. There has never been an international Bank serving the global communities of both entities. FANA and SOAD, with their shared commitment to economic sovereignty and self-determination, have resulted in what many once considered an impossible task.

Prime Minister of SOAD, Dr. Louis-Georges Tin, praised the historic nature of the Treaty, stating:

"We see this Treaty as a blueprint for the future. By establishing this Bank, we are empowering our nations and giving our people the tools they need to build generational wealth, strengthen economic ties across borders, and create true financial independence. This is a transformative period in our shared history."

Together, FANA and SOAD conquered the roadblocks and became sure-footed in their quest, and over the summer of 2025, the vision of such a financial institution came to fruition.

"This Bank will help ensure that indigenous, diaspora, and African peoples have access to economic development and growth that protects future generations. It will facilitate economic sovereignty, development, and success, particularly for Indigenous Nations and tribes, for seven generations."
