The Gangeshwar Temple is situated 3 Km away from Diu in Fudam village. Five shivlings, are located in the midst of the rocks on the seashore, washed by the tidal waves of the sea. It is believed that the 5 Pandavas during their exile worshipped Lord Shiva in this temple.

St. Thomas Church is located on a high ground in the market area of the fort. It has Baroque facade with faded paintings from the Portuguese period. It is a whitewashed structure, which is a not functional church now. But the church, which has since been renovated, houses a museum where, apart from a local collection of artifacts, wood carvings said to be made out of more than 400 years old petrified wood and shadow clocks are also displayed.
About 3 km north from Nani Daman, Devka Beach shoreline offers excellent recreation to the visitor. The ambience is serene and easy going.

For over 450 years, the coastal enclaves of Daman and Diu on the Arabian Sea coast were part of Portuguese India Daman and Diu were incorporated into the Republic of India on 19 December 1961 by military conquest, Portugal did not recognize the Indian annexation of these territories until 1974. Daman and Diu were administered as part of
a single union territory until 1987. English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi are the official and main languages.
Daman and Diu major cities include Bhimpur, Damao, Ghaniwar, Gogla, Kotda and Marvor. Total irrigated area is 393.93 h.a. and un-irrigated area is 3304.73 hectares.Important field and garden crops are paddy, ragi, bajra, jowar, groundnut, pulses and beans, wheat, banana, sapota, mango, chickoo, coconut and sugarcane. There are 2930 small-scale and medium-scale industries in Daman and Diu. The total length of roads in Daman and Diu are 191 km and 78 km respectively. Important tourist places in Daman are Bom Jesus Church, Our Lady of Sea Church, Our Lady of Remedios Church, Forts of Moti Daman and Nani Daman, Jampore and Devka Beaches, Public Garden and Moti Daman.
